Our designer Nataliya has just released her new pattern named Butterfly Flutters Shawl. Designed in half circle, with optional bead picot
edging, this weightless and delicate shawl is yet warm and incredibly
silky soft. This lacy shawl uses only one skein of our lace weight yarn,
Butterfly Kisses (a gorgeous blend of kid mohair, silk and wool) either
in variegated or solid colours.
To celebrate this
new release, 25% discount will be automatically applied on each purchase of a Butterfly Flutters Shawl kit. This offer ends Sunday, June 16th midnight ET.
High Quality Mohair From Angora Goats Raised On Our Family Farm !
Thank you for visiting Les Belles Bouclettes' online boutique!
It's a pleasure to welcome you into our shop.
The heart of Les Belles Bouclettes is our family farm, located in Vankleek Hill, Ontario (Canada), midway between Montreal and Ottawa. Here we ethically raise a happy herd of Angora goats. During our long winter months, they are eating hay, living in our barn, and as soon as the weather permits it, they are grazing pastures, enjoying being outside for a few months (usually from May until October)!
Our Angora goats produce the lustrous, wonderfully soft and luxuriously warm fibre called Mohair. We shear them twice a year and their Mohair is sent exclusively to Canadian fibre mills to be processed in rovings and in a wide variety of yarns in several blends and weights: Lace, Fingering/Sock, Sport/DK, Worsted/Bulky and Novelty...
All the dyed Mohair locks, rovings and yarns are hand-dyed right here on the farm in small batches using professional acid dyes. The colours are rich, vibrant and will be long lasting. To minimize our environmental impact during the whole dyeing process, we use water collected in our rain barrels instead of our well's water.
In a few short seasons, we’ve grown from our modest beginning of fibres into a thriving boutique stocking a wide selection of natural and hand-dyed Mohair locks, silky soft rovings and velvety yarns, ready made garments & accessories, crafting kits for people who wish to craft their own creations, soaps made with our own goats’ milk, and much much more!
Moreover, we have been working with several talented knitwear and crochet designers who have developed an exclusive pattern line using Les Belles Bouclettes Mohair yarns. Please take a look at their gorgeous patterns, and/or the knitting and crochet kits we have made up for your convenience.
Whether you are a crafter yourself or enjoy high-quality and local products, you are sure to be delighted as you explore our website.
